Your day
Work starts at 9 AM and ends at 7 PM.
If you check in after 9:15 AM, it is a late. Four lates in a month cost you one annual leave day. See the leave page.
How to check in
Put your finger on the device when you start work.
Only the device counts. A message, an email, or telling your lead is not a check-in.
If the device does not read your finger, tell the operations lead the same morning. They will add it by hand. Do not wait for the weekly log.
How to check out
Put your finger on the device when you stop work.
Do not wait until you leave the office. If you finish at 7 PM and then pray or eat, check out at 7 PM. The time after that is your own.
Going out during the day
You get 30 minutes a day to go out without using the device. Short things like a shop, a bank, or walking to the gate.
If you will be out longer than 30 minutes, check out and check in again. That time is not work time, so you make it up before you go home.
The 30 minutes is for the whole day, not for each trip. Three trips of 15 minutes is 45 minutes. The last 15 minutes should have been on the device.
Prayer
You get 20 minutes for prayer. It counts as work time. You do not need the device for it, and it does not use your 30 minutes.
If you take more than 20 minutes, it is the same as going out. First your 30 minutes, then the device.
Weekly log
Every week we send you your check-ins and check-outs from the week before.
Read it. If something is wrong, tell the operations lead in writing within 14 days. After 14 days we keep the log as it is.
If we change your times
Sometimes we have to fix a record ourselves. For example, the device failed, or you forgot to check out.
If we change your time without asking you first, we send you an email the same day. It will say what we changed and why.
If your time changes and you did not get an email, tell us.
Two common questions
Working from home or at a client office. Agree it with the operations lead first, in writing. The device cannot see you, so the written note is the record.
Long hours are not overtime. Extra time on the device is not overtime. Agree overtime with your project lead before you work it.
Examples
You stop working at 7 PM, then pray and eat, and leave the office at 7:45 PM.
Check out at 7 PM. Not at 7:45 PM.
The device does not read your finger at 9:05 AM.
Tell the operations lead the same morning. They will add it by hand.
If you wait until next week, we only have the weekly log, and it will show you as absent.
You go to the bank at 2 PM and come back at 2:20 PM.
That is 20 minutes. Do not use the device.
You go out at 2 PM and come back at 3 PM.
That is one hour, so use the device. Check out at 2 PM and check in at 3 PM.
You now finish at 8 PM instead of 7 PM.
You go out for 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes after lunch.
Your 30 minutes for the day are finished. If you go out again, use the device.
You take 20 minutes for prayer.
This is work time. Do nothing.
You take 45 minutes for prayer.
The first 20 minutes are work time. The extra 25 minutes come out of your 30 minutes for the day.
The weekly log shows Wednesday check-out at 5 PM, but you worked until 7 PM.
Email the operations lead. You have 14 days from the day we sent the log.
